Pay-What-You-Can YOGA classes-Rochester, NY

To raise money for its new roof, Peace Lutheran Church in Rochester’s South Wedge is offering Pay-What-You-Can Yoga classes for everyone. The classes are called “At Peace with Yoga”. These yoga classes are the only Pay-What-You-Can Yoga Classes in Rochester. One-Hour Classes are currently scheduled on Wednesday evenings at 5:30PM and every Monday and Friday morning at 9:00AM.

Peace Lutheran Church is a vital part of the South Wedge and surrounding neighborhoods. The church provides meeting space for many community groups and events. The church also supports numerous community causes.

By offering Pay-What-You-Can Yoga, Peace Church will use the money raised from the free-will offering to pay the remaining balance owed on the roof so it can continue providing space and resources for this Rochester neighborhood. Additionally, the church hopes that its Pay-What-You-Can Yoga will encourage people who might not be able to afford a gym membership or take yoga classes, to try it.

All classes are multi-level and designed for adults of all ages and ability. People attending class should wear loose, comfortable clothing; bring a yoga mat, blanket and water bottle. Classes are taught by Amanda Jacobs, who is certified to teach yoga by the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara, California.

Peace Lutheran Church is located at 125 Caroline Street on the corner of Mt. Vernon Avenue and Caroline Street. Website address: http://www.peacechurchrochester.org/. Contact Amanda Jacobs for more information. peace.church.yoga@gmail.com. The phone number to the church is (585) 244-9206.
